He's had a good year - he even made Brian Adams sound good
Yeah, I think my problem was also that there was no real art to the name. Like even if it was 'Viet Kong', that would have been vaguely witty as a band name.
I actually feel like the writers cared less about the story they were telling and more about them having backed themselves in a corner and adding more 'shocking' scenes to keep up their reputation. Most of the rape (and some of the other grim stuff) seems to be purely there for the sake of it, and wasn't really…
They can just re-purpose all the footage that was cut out of The Revenant
I think you're the one who is a little too invested in what my original comment meant. I never said you were not allowed to not like the film. Let it go. Leave me alone.
I'm not sure why you chose to be so hostile. All I said was it was a really good film, and all the chatter I heard on other areas of the internet was positive but a lot of the commenters here seemed unusually down on it.
Oh for Heaven's sake, of course people are 'allowed' to not like it, I was only saying it was surprising that there were so many negative comments
Yeah - I've only recently got into Star Wars, but I was just enthralled for the entire length of the movie. It was everything I wanted in a Star Wars movie. Reading all these 'oh it was so flawed comments' are kinda surprising to me.
Very Apocalypse Now with the sunset. Looked amazing.
Does that make her the female Alexander Siddig?
At the moment any reasonably intelligent genre show is being marketed as 'Game of Thrones with x' even if it makes no sense.
Not to mention that Avasarala is played by Admiral Raan
That was young Odda from The Last Kingdom!
Someone got really confused reading Camus…
It was song number three on John's last CD
"I'm going to make it through this year if it kills me…"
And it almost killed me.
I unironically like Jupiter Ascending. I just needed to get that off my chest.
Y'know, I hadn't seen the prequels for years and so I thought that the perception of them was perhaps a bit harsh and then within the first half hour of Phantom Menace there's space Mickey Rooney and whatever the hell Jar Jar was supposed to be. I can't believe that that film made it to release in that state.
They're currently doing great work with Justin Theroux in The Leftovers.
I raved about this movie to a girlfriend so we watched it together… she enjoyed it but I perhaps should have told her it opened with child murder.
