Y'know, that would have really made me like him a lot more. Shows his intelligence and willingness to help the team out beyond telling them how poor their odds of survival were. Shame they didn't keep it!

Maybe - I've only seen the original (I watched the films for the first time recently and the DVD I have is the special edition from a few years ago) and so I can't really see why Jedi is seen as a bad film.

That said, by not having dialogue during the duel, it was one of the few sections that didn't deliberately try and mirror the original which is probably part of what makes it such a cool scene. It feels fresher.

I find the poor editing even more distracting. It makes the dialogue really awkwardly paced (although that could also be poor acting…)
