I feel bad for not getting Zappa as I love Tom Waits and he's apparently one of the major inspirations behind the latter's experimental stuff.

Depends where you draw the line - In The Flesh did great things with cured zombies (or 'Partially Deceased Syndrome' sufferers) trying to fit back into society and Les Revenants, while not typical zombies (although there are suggestions that more feral types exist) is similarly brilliant.

I think the only mystery that won't have some kind of resolution is the disappearance itself. The other things that turn up in the episodes will almost definitely have an explanation, however ambiguous. You're probably right that the 'no explanations' comment is just a way to stop viewers demanding that every mystery

Even worse - instead of flipping 'guy/girl' this one refocusses the song to be telling someone else that they 'need a man' so they better shape up, which makes it really creepy (and not in the way it intended)

That's a good point - he was an important figure in the community before - now he's just a normal guy there's nothing (except his family, which Patti references dismissively) keeping him from completely losing it.

She was the best part of Gone Girl

That game was lucky its gameplay/exploration was so fun, because the story was almost unbearably dumb.

I'm fine with CP30 never darkening our screens again…
