I saw R1. It was probably the second best after Empire, but for some reason, I really didnt car at all, exept for the last 5 minutes, I was weirdly bored. It had a lot of great parts but I was still Meh throughout the movie. Maybe I am broken.

Maybe it was smart design. There was no intention of a return trip. In fact the ship was not so much intended to land as crash gently but irrepairably. What else would you do with the whole useless 1/3 of the population?
