Of course. But that's not what was asked. We were talking about why it matters to some whether people say it's a choice or whether people are born that way.
I think the difference here is that someone who chooses to be attracted to the same sex can also choose not to. Therefor, their lives are probably made a whole lot simpler than those who don't have that choice and are often subjected to mental and physical abuse because of it.
