SNICKERS EAT SNICKERS LEAVE GARBAGE

Yeah. I'm tired of hearing excuses about economic anxiety and the like. I'm sure plenty of people who are disenfranchised and down on their luck don't magically lose all decency and empathy and turn to exclusive self-interest and Other-vilifying (or complicity in Other-vilifying). There has to be something

I don't think anyone's asserting that the recent surge in overt white supremacism isn't to be taken seriously (the kerfuffle with Purple Tentacle seems to me to be borne of a fundamental miscommunication). A lot of us may use humor as a coping mechanism, but this is unquestionably disturbing stuff.

That's basically just my life philosophy in a nutshell, but I'm happy to be co-opted.

I figure these types of lines work because the people susceptible to them are unprincipled enough to imagine themselves doing something similar for the right price.

Welp, now I know why houses all over my co-worker's rural neighborhood were reportedly flying Confederate flags.

I have indeed been noted for my preternatural powers of deduction!

"How do you do, fellow cu - er, kids?"

As the realization slowly dawns that I wasn't meant to see this, I just want to mention I have family. Cornelius J. Yablonski III gets real perturbed if I don't clean his cage regularly.

I dunno, I remember that game being pretty fun(ny) (that was back when Rare knew how to make a solid platformer cum last act third person shooter, and there were some genuinely amusing bits outside of the gross-out stuff, not that anything springs to mind at the moment), but I was also 11 or 12 and edgy cursing

"Ooh yeah. We're just here to make out. You bend over - we put the head in, you know, if you don't like it then we'll talk about it. Face north, Jack! Are we being broadcast tonight?"

What is "not this"?

I've seen rants like that too, and it is kind of astonishing that someone belonging to a generation viciously smeared as a bunch of nihilistic slackers back in the day would have such little capacity for empathy and critical thinking. Many of us use the Internet to give vent to our shittiest thoughts and impulses,

He played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!

Seriously awesome story. Questionable politics aside (she really just came across as horribly misguided at that Tea Party rally), she seems to have been a sweet and decent diamond in a rough of egotistical phonies and scenesters. Burns me that an integral player in one of the most influential rock outfits of all time

I think it was Sterling who explained that whole business with "it was the '60s" or something along that line.

Here's hoping. I don't need everything wrapped up in a bow, but there definitely better be emotional (if not narrative) closure of some sort. If Good Coop ends up being perma-Dougied, both Ed and Bobby are alone, and the whole thing turns out to be some pomo Dadaist variant on "life's a bitch and then you die," I'll
