I’m the same way about Star Trek II and Star Trek VI. I think STII is the better movie, and also the best Star Trek film overall. But STVI is my favorite and the one I find myself rewatching far more often.

That’s more or less my opinion too. Last Crusade is my personal favourite (probably because I happened to watch it more growing up, and owned the NES game.) But yeah Raiders is undoubtedly the superior film.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is a perfect example of why you don’t need to start off your franchise with an origin story. It’s just a huge expository lump that bogs things down, and as so many recent films have shown, assuming that you’ll get to tell the real story in the next film is a risky strategy.

I’ve never cared much for ToD because I did NOT like Willie one bit and I found Short Round annoying. The kiddie-fication of sequels that happens often when Lucas is involved always disappoints. That said, one of the more notable thing about ToD is how the heart-ripping sacrifice scene and the child slavery elements…

I’ve been saying this for years, but Supernatural should have ended at season 5. There were a couple of stinkers, it happens with all good shows (it was 2005ish), but the first five seasons told a great standalone story with a unique spin on familiar mythology.

I’ve been doing the same thing, and I’m up to season 11 now (coincidentally, just finished Fan Fiction too). My daughter is a SPN superfan and she keeps telling me it gets better again, but it’s been a freakin’ chore to watch since about season 7.

Supernatural as an American rebuke to Doctor Who, except nobody ever gets regenerated and it’s just literally 85 year old Sam and Dean running around stabbing Digimon or whatever. That’s Prime timeline shit right there, certainly a long way away from our worst of all possible worlds

Trigun has not aged well, to me at least.

I know Ben Shapiro was very outspoken about retaining his virginity - to the point where a lot of left wing blogs started referring to him as “The Virgin Ben”, but I don’t know about Crowder. I’ve actively avoided knowing much about him.

I mean there are a lot of people on the right being critical of him. But I don’t think that should be a shocker. A lot of that group are people who actively hate eachother, joining forces because they hate minorities more, lol.
