I think I got either a quarter or 50 cents for most of my teeth and a dollar for my molars in the mid-90s. $10-$20 is insane. Like, at those rates, 3-6 teeth is a video game.

Some of us are cheap bastards or cannot afford to drop $300 on a game system. How is this difficult to understand?
Seriously. It’s like some people on this website have never gone outside sometimes.
A lot of ADHD medications are amphetamines. It’s not exactly a secret. Using Philip K. Dick as an example is disingenuous, too. Her comments on vaccines are a dog-whistle, and it doesn’t matter that she didn’t go full conspiracy theory. What she says about depression I personally find insulting, and just because her…
I agree. This woman sounds like she has no idea how the hell depression (or science, for that matter) actually works.
Your experiences with antidepressants and talk therapy are not universal.
I’ve heard the same. He also donates to HIV-related causes a lot, too (he was even honored at the CROI before last for it).
The idea is to treat the individual subject, the person, not the disease.
We can dream, though. Hopefully someone else nearby is willing to also lend their nine-iron.
Especially since this dingus didn’t think to get tested before having sex with his girlfriend without condoms. What the fuck is with that?
That’s a solution to the real problem (the astronomical interest rates of these loans), so obviously no one here thinks it’s a good idea.
$100k a year is a shitload of money. I work in the DC area.
I love over the top epics filled with sturm und drang and all sorts of crazy shit. I hated Evangelion.
Those comments complaining about $200k household salaries being not enough money made me want to scream. The sheer privilege of it all galls me.
How does having 4 times as much money left over translate to struggling to pay the bills? Taking $9k out of $35k would cause someone to struggle for sure, but $45k out of $150k leaves you with over $100k per year. I know the number would be different due to taxes and insurance costs, but the point still stands.
Andersonville pre-dates both the Ten Years’ War and the Boer War. Ostensibly, it was a Confederate prisoner of war camp for Union soldiers, but there’s a photo on the Wikipedia page that could have been taken 90 years later.
Otherwise known as every immunologist ever throwing over 100 years of research at her? I mean, my God, doesn’t she understand that individual scientists in the CDC and NIH are not allowed to take money from almost anyone?
As an immunologist, the anti-vaccination movement makes me want to scream. It’s really not that hard to explain what vaccination does and how it impacts both the individual’s immune system and the general population. It could be taught in high school science class with metaphors if necessary! This stuff just makes me…
I’m always incredibly depressed whenever I see a doctor or nurse say they’re anti-vaccination. Like, what the hell went wrong with their education? Are we not teaching our medical doctors well enough? The concept behind vaccination isn’t that difficult to explain, especially to people who can follow the biology words,…
The past four presidents include two state governors and a US senator. In terms of bona fides, Bill Clinton won a Rhodes scholarship and went to Yale Law School prior to being a state governor for a total of 12 years. George W. Bush I’ll admit was likely a legacy admit to Yale and only governor for 5 years, but being…
