I was living three blocks away from the Hole In The Wall the night Henley jumped up on stage with Mojo. Blew off going to the show that night because of some stupid, lazy reason. Still pisses me off.

When the movie was first released, the studio was so freaked out by its complexity, they sent handouts to theaters running down all the weird terminology and names in the script. Those things ran for a full letter-sized page, back and front, in tiny type, and were handed out to the audience at the ticket counter.

File this under, "Well, duh." Of course it would have been better with Mel.

Stone the heretic! Stone him!

Russ is (very) obviously based on Cuban.

No question. Cuban was the original "accidental billionaire." And the "smiling with his teeth together" was a dead giveaway, just in case you didn't get the (obvious) "radio on the internet" reference.

Arc Angels. They had to decline the opening slot on the Black Crowes' first headlining tour in '92 because of Doyle Bramhall II's heroin problem, and broke up shortly afterwards. If not for that, the debut likely goes gold and serves as a launching pad. Instead, a few local shows in Austin and a lackluster reunion

Yep, think that was in the same season.

Favorite one-liner is "Yeah, but what'reyagonnado?" from Homer after Marge pointed out that he was drinking dishwasher liquid.

Zip it and hand over my pizza, hipster dirtbag.

Listen to one of the Chickenfoot albums. I mean, the songs suck, you won't enjoy it (and I say that as an unabashed fan of the Sammy VH, or at least the 5150 album), but Anthony's bass playing is audible and just fine musically on those records.

Sure, except for Murmur, and The Nightfly, and The Joshua Tree, and Vivid, and Moving Pictures, and Syncrhonicity, and…

Yep. My first reaction on hearing GNR in '87 was, "that's just prettied-up 70's Aerosmith."

Well said.

Nonsense. One of the few accurate things about this article was recognizing Anthony's backing vocals as the band's real secret weapon. Check out some of the demos that only have the lead vocal track, the difference is night and day (and that goes for both lead singers).

On the one hand, nice to see Mikey's vocals getting some recognition.

She really is. Cohan's mid-Georgia accent is spot-on, unlike other English WD actors I could name (*cough*AndrewLincoln*cough*)…

Meh. Beth was a boring, whiny, shitty character who might as well have been wearing a "ZOMBIE CHOW" t-shirt for her whole run on the show. Hate it for ya, Maggie, but little sis was about as interesting as dryer lint.

Interesting. Peart maintains he never finished high school, and moved to London (UK) when he was 18. Maybe HCI was considered "advanced high school"…?

Your step-dad is full of crap. Peart dropped out of high school and never went to college.
