Did some research on it. The VIN comes up as a 1988 190, painted Arctic White with Blue Fabric. Interestingly, it shows as having a catalytic converter. Fun stuff. I find the F30 ambient lighting is super annoying in that it’s virtually invisible (save for the highest setting). At least the LCI has the center stack LED surround though, which is cool.

Before opening this post, I actually found myself thinking, “I wish my local dealer had something like that...”. Then I realized it was Rallye, which is my local dealer. I guess I’ll be visiting the showroom sometime soon.

Ah, fair enough. Those brands offer better value for the money anyways. Also, you do bring up a good point about upgrades. Our PCAR 3 rental was a paid upgrade from a CLMR, and while there were XCARs such as S90s when we rented our PCAR CLA, the rental desk said that they were all reserved. Read more

Yep, I was very impressed by the model choices at Sixt branches in the US, but their Mercedes and BMW cars are very poorly-equipped here. However, the Volvos are generally higher trim, perhaps to compensate for their “lower” brand status. Also, US E-Classes and X5s come standard with nav anyway. Read more
