Similar to AshleyAshes1983 below, I easily OC'ed my 2500K too. On a Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3, all I had to do was tell the BIOS "run at 45x, not 33x", and it's running like a champ. Peaks around 70c with a Hyper 212+ cooler, which was about $25. Bumping voltage a bit got me to 4.7, but at higher temps. Dropped it

Don't forget Visio...I have a Visio VIA TV, and it seems to support everything...Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Vudu, Youtube, and a couple others no one really cares about.

Pull a boner move? They're not trying to make themselves non-backwards compatible, and they still sell their old boxes for older TVs. They're taking advantage of new technology coming out in the marketplace to streamline their devices, and integrate them as an add-on to compatible tech.

It doesn't just steal power, it depends on the MHL port.

As they said, "the entire Stick depends on a special type of HDMI port called "MHL"". That is the key...MHL supports USB and HDMI over a single port. The USB would be used both to power the device, and presumably to pass through commands from the TVs remote, through the TV, to the Roku.

That...doesn't make sense. You add a feature that's available as an add-on (with no contract changes), and drop it when you're done, and all is OK. This is business as usual.

Most $20 electric kettles heat to boiling, instead of stopping at 175F. You'll need to spend a bit more ($50-100, depending on features) for a pot with a thermostat that'll stop heating at 175F'ish (which is suggested for best flavor in the instructions).

You can use any sort of jack (emergency (stock) jack, floor jack, bottle jack, etc) to get a car in the air. What you should use with ALL of them are jack stands. The jack is to GET the car up, not to HOLD it up. Jack stands start at $20 a pair at Sears (2.25T), up to $40 for a 4T set...which is overkill for most

Just to throw my opinion at you, since you brought it up in a public forum...

Wow, talk about supply and demand. That temp controller you linked to cost about $20 when you linked it...but now the price is at $120. They sold 25 on Dec 8th, but none since. Guess they went a little high with their price bump.

> That has to be the single dumbest thing I've ever read on Gizmodo.

Yes, it is the same shit as before. Apple did the same thing with the 3G to 3GS upgrade...they keep the same shell, and upgrade the guts with their current tech (A5, 8MP camera w/ 1080p, 64GB, etc). If you look at the comparison chart Giz posted Jun 2009, you'll see they didn't really add much to the 3GS vs the 3G.

So, it flashes the camera flash at you? I know of no other LED they could blink.

As mentioned by Delon Holmes below/above, Verizon iPhones never got to 4.3....they were stuck on the 4.2 level. No seeing in iTunes or the App Store your items purchased and "Non on this device".

What you say about being limited for fuel doesn't make sense. You can't run iso-butane in your Dragonfly...is that a limitation? The JetBoil is a canister stove...just like the MSR PocketRocket or Superfly, the Coleman F1, or any others like those. You can use a standard iso-butane fuel canister that LOTS of

It is, but ultralight folks are willing to pay a premium to save every once by using titanium gear. The standard steel stove, and Sumo aluminum cup should certainly be a lot cheaper. One could also get the normal .8-1L cup instead of the Sumo if the extra capacity isn't needed.

The first stove, the 533, is quite a bit larger, quite a bit heavier, and not as suited for lightweight backpacking. It also is more finicky in regards to needing to be pumped to pressure, light the gaseous fuel in time, then you can cook. There is a lot more metal to heat up, and therefore need to wait to cool down
