I think that IW sequence is perfectly justified - she’s totally taken aback at the vision stabbing and immediately is on the back foot/defense mode, just trying to get him out of there. Even when fighting Proxima one on one she’s clearly distracted by what’s happening with her lover / Corvus elsewhere.
