    @Ham_Sandwich: Stereo sound used to be expensive, now it's not. There was no way to know it would become ubiquitous. It's seems like a very similar situation.

    @Maave: Parallel viewing is focusing behind the images, crosseyed viewing is focusing before the images.

    @socceryo3: if you look at this one by parallel viewing, it will appear exactly as you described. It is for crosseyed viewing.

    @Justin: Reversing the images won't give you a perfect but reversed depth photo, it'll just look odd. The pictures were taken from fixed positions, will only look correct placed in those positions. The point of parallax will also affect the error in depth (i.e., anything at the point of parallax will be the same

    @Justin: "The originals are correct."

    @Justin: I'm afraid they have. The images have been set up for parallel viewing, if you are crosseye viewing then you will need to swap the images. Other commenters have noticed this, and posted crosseye versions of the pics. Here is a crosseye version of the cookies.

    @Mufinn Man: Thank you, this is what I've been saying (they're set up for parallel viewing, which most people find harder)

    @Rurouni: Thank you, this is what I have been saying :)

    @steven.fleming: Point 1, correct. To view these crosseyed (which most people find easier) switch the images.

    @rathat: If you are crosseye viewing them (as opposed to parallel viewing them) switch the images, and they will look correct.

    @Snes: You're correct, switch the images and it'll work (They've set them up for parallel viewing, instead of crosseyed viewing).

    @Maave: These are set up for parallel viewing, to crosseye view you need to switch the images.

    @flame500: There are sets which are very tolerent of your head's angle, I guess the one you saw was not.

    @ZenInsight: Definitely. There are a few polarised sets coming out now, but hopefully tech will do away with the need even for then eventually. I wear contact lenses for a reason :)
