    @bgordes: Oh for goodness sake. All it is doing is trying to associate a face with a name that you already have on your friends list, and present it to you, owner of said friends list. All this will do is save you a few clicks. That is all, nothing scary, nothing sinister.

    As an aside, I must admit that Google translate has been impressing me for quite a while now. Often times it'll translate a website and I'll have to check whether it's actually translating it or not, the translation will be so good.

    @spider2544: I guess need was the wrong word, and perhaps wearable was too. What I meant was having this output to something like contact lenses that allow this to be translated in-vision (i.e., just look at it, no need to point a phone at things). Or failing that glasses that can do the same but are no larger than

    Very nice. Now we just need a wearable display...

    @grovestreet: Neither is this, it's suggesting which of your friends you might like to tag. It's only your friends, and it's just a suggestion.

    @bgordes: All it's doing is suggesting faces for you to tag. For a start, they have to be your friend. Secondly, it's only suggesting .

    When my camera does it, no problem. But when facebook do it, it becomes frightening?
