    @frigg: Complete rubbish. Arbitrarily vetting apps does not provide any of the 'benefits' you describe. How you can believe this walled garden is driving any kind of success is beyond me.

    "Apple basically insinuated that they did not want to receive backlash from Walmart for allowing the app to live in the App Store and thus if we removed all instances of the word Walmart, they'd reconsider approving it."

    @mullingitover: Lol, do it! Don't forget to report back with a pic.

    So crazy it might just work. Where do I buy my ticket... :)

    @Benedinho: It's not in the story photo.

    @ILLKnOwLeDgE: It says in the article. Summary: the bus is supposed to pass over you so wait.

    @boopadoo: best post I've seen in weeks!

    @ghost25: Not sure it has anything to do with Japan. Presumably the idea is that it's meant to be a surrogate for the person you're communicating with, but but that implies on some level you would have to believe that the representation was them, that would freak me out completely.

    @David Insley: He used a US HAM frequency which corresponds with a European GSM frequency, so that probably avoided a few laws. Pretty stupid to have that overlap IMO, kinda asking for it.

    @AkkiRonin: To add to the list of 'bad idea' reasons below, it's also one way.

    @sip: "Hooray CDMA!"

    @rathat: Me too, brilliant fun. Bet no one using them had a clue they could be heard either.

    @CoDRoX: "Without the equipment and backhaul connections to complete the call to the called party"

    @Vidit: Or a pen tablet.

    @Vicboy: Yeah, those Marshall Islanders. Americans through and through.
