The last time I was able to find bit o honey was at Target in the candy section where they have the boxed theater type candy. I've also been it at cracker barrel.
I was right there with you for a moment until you said Bit O Honey. I’m pretty sure Bit O Honey is made by scraping gunk off the candy factory floor, and they really should come with a filling removal advisory.

I only see Bit O Honey in places that shouldn’t have candy, like Bed Bath & Beyond or JoAnn Fabrics.

My favorite ice cream flavor was ruined when they placed the heath bar with skor. Now... I don’t mind skor but heathbar has a very specific flavor and skor is very... generic tasting? Heath tastes better there’s no doubt about it.
Bit O Honey are still alive and out there! You can most often find them in the penny candy section of Five Below, but they sell them by the bag in some grocery stores and online
