Because while we don’t use it much like this today, race has also been used to mean species, i.e. “the human race”, so it’s not technically wrong, and generally speaking most people understand that in the context of fantasy worlds and settings.

Honestly, I don’t understand. As a player, I go through the “races” (I agree, it’s a bad term - and a loaded) and think about what kind of creature I want to be. Male, female, something else. Tall, short, squat, swarthy, blond, curly. I then pick a race that fits that. Or I may start the other way. Am I an arrogant

Linda, hey total aside but: I really disagree with a lot of your thesis, but I want to give you serious kudos for engaging in the comments section with genuine intellectual integrity and openness. Like we’re not going to agree, but I agree that you are an honest broker of your ideas.

But.. we still do this with demons, certain monsters.. etc.. they’re lawful evil and totally unplayable unless a DM decides to twist the rules.

How is Succession running out of steam? The last season was fantastic so unless you have some insight into the production of season four, I don’t see how that claim has any merit.

Better Call Saul was amazing television and while not a bad episode, season 4 did drag in a few places. But to say that Succession is running out of steam after that ending seems wrong to me.

who was supposed to play Batgirl’s villain, apparently some new take on an old bad guy named Firefly

I’d say the number of folks who believe that is somewhere between “not insignificant” and “way more than you’d think.”

“then that is a bigger problem...”

I mean there are many people in the US who generally believe that the justice system and the police force are overall fair and not in need of reform, so...probably?

Well, I’m calling this show Hot D from now on.

that’s why they had squires.

Oh good, is this the errors thread? Better this week, but it wasn’t an actor playing Daemon that pulled out the rope cock, it was an actor playing baby Aegon.

I like rigatoni, but also think linguine is underrated.

oh god Wall Drug. we kept seeing signs for it as we crawled across SD in the sweltering summer heat in a big ford conversion van en route to the badlands and then devil’s tower. dad never drove over 55 on most highways, and as one of three kids compelled on this trip, there HAD to be something to break up the monotony.
