This stood out to me as well. Why would you need NFTs just to have a RMT market for in-game items? Do they just expect people to be dumb enough to fall for it (granted, this thought is not without merit) or is this “VP of innovations” not understanding the concept himself?

If you die in the metaverse, do you die in real life?

what many of them apparently didn’t realize is that this ending is...weirdly closer to what happens in the book.

I loved Navi. I was 12 when OoT came out and I loved this idea of having this little chirpy companion in all these dark dungeons. Never understood the backlash.

Bah, Navi was fine. The hate is overblown. Reminder that she never actually says “HEY, LISTEN!” on repeat. It’s just “HEY”; the “LISTEN” is what she says after you actually listen. Anyway, I loved the Z-targeting info on enemies.

Honestly, it was one of the reasons I liked the Wii version of Twilight Princess: your controller’s cursor was a fairy, so it felt like the return of having a fairy companion.

Navi is a bit annoying, true, but the way they contextualized the tutorials/hints/lock-on system into a side-kick that dynamically followed you around was pretty amazing and quite ahead of its time in my opinion.

Navi never bothered me. I like that Link had a little fairy companion. I was always bummed that fan reaction to the character ensured we’d never get a resolution to that storyline.

”Now, the Reporter is hoping to nail down the man’s identity.”

First thing’s first: Pulp won the battle of Britpop by 1) Being better than all other Britpop, 2) Not caring, and 3) Ending on a solid album

Because crypto fucking sucks and the only people that think otherwise are the ones buying into the scheme?

Let’s hope they don’t turn Knives Out 3 over to J J Abrams, who will explain that Christopher Plummer’s character is “somehow” back from the dead and that Daniel Craig is his grandson.

Some states really do not stress the left lane as the passing lane. I grew up in Ohio, and I don’t think I saw a “Keep right except to pass” sign until I was in my 20s and driving through New York, I think. It was never taught to me in driver’s ed as the passing lane. We call it the fast lane. It never occurred to me

And in breaking news from 2029, G/O Media is requiring all writing staff to relocate to pods in the suborbital Musk Entertainment Array. Oxygen and radiation pill costs will not be included.

I’ve also commented that after an accident, especially impact accidents, the individual is NOT in a position to evaluate their own health. I’ve experienced this myself with bicycle accidents. Shock is not always your friend, as it takes a chunk of your brain and nervous system off-line.

I would still be concerned. The Reporter says “I’m ok, I’m ok, I’m ok” about 500 times. But she might not be. Her body has pumped her full of pain blockers because of the accident and she might actually be injured. I would expect that she wakes up today and feels bruises all over. I hope it is just bruises and not

For those who don’t know, per NYT:

What we’d really love would be a revival of pre-Spanfeller AV Club.

This late stage capitalism setting we are in... is really getting tiresome.

If only the government could step in like it did in the ‘90s and pursue some anti-trust cases against them again.

Cannibal pony was surprisingly metal for its day.
