Also, was Seth supposed to be likeable in that movie? Even at the time he didn’t seem so.

I’ve never had hardtack either, but I think it’s just water and flour mixed together and then baked with maybe some salt.
Putting the salami and pepper on for the parbake probably would have helped.
Just because they like Warren doesn’t mean their dislike of Clinton isn’t coming from misogyny.
As a gentile, I’ve always imagined matzoh as being like hardtack?
Mechanix!
Okay, maybe you’re right and it is a problem deserving of more attention.
I think everyone who thinks Ryan is involved in the murder is way off base. Makes no sense.
Same thing happened to me. I binged the first five episodes this weekend. And looked up how many episodes there were and everything said 5 episodes (apparently they meant how many had aired, but that wasn’t clear). I was so mad. I couldn’t believe it though so looked a little more thoroughly and was relieved to find…
I think it’s the opposite. John is the father and Billy knew about it and helped them carry the affair out and murdered her to protect his cousin (and himself).
Haven’t read discussion yet, but here’s my take:
I think the issue here is people use “cancel culture” to mean different things. One of the most common uses of “cancel culture” is to criticize the treatment of the rich and famous for facing consequences for their horrible actions. “Now I can’t watch Kevin Spacey movies? I’m so tired of cancel culture!”
According to the article you linked he didn’t lose his job. He still carried on teaching, just not the class where he used the term. It’s not clear to me that he suffered any financial loss either. Of course it is also brought up in that article that this action could damage his future prospects. Depending on how this…
Was I the only one who for one moment thought Dylan was going to smother DJ? The earlier scene with him expressing disgust and near hatred because the baby wasn’t his and wanting it out of the room. Then him lying in pain at night, the screaming baby, no one around, he gets up and walks over slowly with a pillow, I…
Surprisingly I’ve found this method works even if all of the food is something you don’t like. As I said, I grew up in a family of picky eaters and being the youngest, my mom had given up trying by the time I came around. We rarely ate vegetables. Corn was considered the “vegetable” in our meals.
Growing up the youngest in a family of picky eaters, I have grown my palate considerably, but still am in many ways a very picky eater. Some foods I just needed to learn how to appreciate, and others I still can’t quite stand.
That’s what I’ve heard. So far book 2 (The Great Hunt?) was my favorite.
Comments have been wonky all day. This is the first time today I’ve actually been able to read the comments on a post today, let alone leave a comment.
I’ve only read the first three books (I’ve been partway through book 4 for over a year, haven’t picked it up in months), but I’m excited for this. Interestingly enough, it was hearing about the Billy Zane pilot airing secretly at 2 in the morning that brought the series to my attention. I went out and read the first…
