While we’re at it . . . what’s up with all this Spanish music speaking gibberish? Why can’t they just speak English? WTF is even is Wisin or a Yandell? Mayorqueyo?? That’s not even words!?

Bullies exist for adults but they’re far less populous and generally feel far less important. I think Hollywood stunts people emotionally.

Thankfully the FDA already gave Inovio approval to begin human trials in mid June, a mere nine months after Canada’s National Microbiology Laboratory did successful mice experiments.

I think y’all are just more quiet than...the others.

This is a platform that unites all of America. No Trump Sex.

I too am pretty redneck and vote Democrat. Maybe you guys just don’t realize we’re out here if you look.

As a straight woman, I don't ever want to think about Trump and sex.

As a straight woman; I don’t want to think about him in any sex act

This is what a glimmer of hope looks like in 2016 America.

props for the raggedy-ass fenders. adds authenticity.

I don’t want to think about Donald Trump sucking cock, though. At all. Ever. As a gay, I don’t think I should have to think about that.

Well yeah Hillary Clinton and Billy Clinton. Not so shocking at all.

Now playing

That’s genuinely awesome. You know, there’s a lot of white blue-collar Dems who vote too, looking for their fair shake.

I agree with most of your post. But Colbert does say:

But that’s not... what we were just talking about. If I get hired because I AM qualified, fuck yes, I’m stoked. If I get hired because I was sort of the 8th best but I had the added benefit of being a woman or black or both, no, my ego is not going to be okay with that. I’m not blaming anyone or saying anyone is

The issue is that what he may find funny can stem from unconscious bias. He can relate to jokes that speak to a white, male existence. Therefore, the writers he’s most likely to hire end up being just like him. It’s a common thing for any job, people in positions of power tend to hire people who look just like them,

He also says he isn’t the one who narrows it down to the final candidates. There is some obvious bias down the line here.

I see what you are saying, but Colbert states that he reads a funny joke and then asks who that person is.

Isn’t that how it should be? Like if you present a bunch of material to him without names or pictures, then he’s choosing what he thinks is funniest. I don’t know a better system than that.

Now if someone who’s

No one who is hired, or admitted, or seated, or quoted gets that honor solely because of their skin color, as the author adeptly points out. It just doesn’t happen that way. I’m a POC (Black colored, to use your terminology). Didn’t get into college just because of my skin color any more than I was hired for any job

Well, I am a Person of Color (Indian Colored, to be exact) and I agree with Colbert.
