I hadn't. But now I have. It's nothing special. Just some texture resolutions. Nothing to do with the engine. Still uses simple materials and shaders.

I expected this to be some sort of mixed media thing like where she'd drop down and then the camera moves a bit and then she crawls out of the TV. This was a bit of a letdown.

Doubtful. The source engine, while it's a pretty great piece of tech, is getting rather old and out of date. Unless of course they're running this on a largely retooled version.
