What are you talking about? Day One buys have been dumb.

definitely a nice addition. Although its just another sign that buying games on day 1 is really a bad idea. If I bought this on day 1 and already beat it, I just wouldn’t have the desire to play it again, meaning I wouldn’t get to experience it at its best.

Surprised in an article mostly talking about Keemstar there was no mention of that time he completely got it wrong about a 60+ year old Runescape Twitch player and made him cry on camera when people came in to harass him. Spoilers: it wasn’t him and the guy he thought he was is still in jail.

“I’m so mad that someone’s personal choice on how to represent themselves in a video game doesn’t align with what I think they should do. Also how dare ANYONE who isn’t good enough to be at the top use a name that I don’t approve of”

They have the more established scene. When people from the West were making fun of pro-gamers for being basement-dwellers, the South Koreans were treating the same people as celebrities with TV shows featuring them.

“We don’t know why they’re doing this DDoS attack! It’s not like we angered a bunch of gamers by shutting down a private server or something...”

Yeah but after Bryan Cranston dies the film goes down hill really fast ....

Yea but at least on PC 9 times out of 10 you can fix your own problems or someone in the community comes up with a fix VERY quickly. On consoles you don’t have that privilege or control. You can look to many of the biggest fuck up of ports in recent years and see that almost all had fixes rolled out by fellow players

Now playing

Nintendo is always behind it’s competitors. They were last on using CD. They were last on an online service and even on HD. Even when they started using online they used long numbered codes instead of screen names. The company is run by old out of touch men. Many have been working at Nintendo since the 1980's.

It is completely wrong that Dark Souls is some masochistic, ultra hardcore game. As one review for Demon’s Souls put it, “Demon’s Souls is as hard as you are stupid.” What they meant by that was, it’s a game that expects you to pay attention to it and not to get over-confident with it. It invites you to make mistakes

I’d argue Dark Souls is perfect for intermediate gamers with some time on their hands to play it. As Dark Souls especially is slow and methodical its actually more player friendly then some fast paced action games especially off line. The big reason is Dark Souls is tough but fair if you learn from your mistakes you

True

Get your head out of your ass. Final Fantasy can be whatever they want it to be. It is not glued to a specific set of rules laid out by fanboys.

Yeah, that’s... definitely not true at all. If you’ve seen any interview with Tabata, or watched the UNCOVERED event from recently, you’d know exactly why they’re doing an Action approach, rather than a turn-based one.

Boom! /thread

Uh what souls game doesn’t teach you the most basic mechanics. Every Souls game to date has had you go through a tutorial area of sorts lined with notes on how to play the game and some easy enemies to get you into the swing of things. Not sure what the hell you are on about or if you just never bothered to read the

Not teaching players how to actually play the game isn’t some inspired design choice.
