"Don't knock the Greeks, they invented democracy"

Feige to Wright: "What is this, a movie for ants??"

It is a lot of effort, but it pays off spectacularly (apart from maybe season 5).

That is a good point, but then you see characters like Oberyn which everyone instantly takes a liking to. Of course part of that is he is interacting with characters we are already familiar with.

I notice you didn't argue against the characters being so forgettable. Of course that is subjective, but really for me that is the ultimate sin.

I don't mind too much if there isn't A LOT of stuff happening, but really the Dorne and Iron Island plots barely move the needle at all. There are maybe 2-3 notable events in books 4 & 5 combined, which is saying something considering they are the largest books.

Yeah unfortunately danys storyline doesn't seem to be going anywhere either. I seriously dislike books 4&5 because it is clear Martin is just writing gibberish for the most part. Show runners have done a good job of trimming the fat so I have faith in them

And thus the decline of game of thrones begins. Because the dorne storylines are mind numbingly boring, just like the iron islands. Was hoping they'll skip most of it. Or maybe they'll really rewrite a lot

I watched the whole show on Netflix Instant, but it seems like they have removed them
