And how do you propose that they will do it?

I find it shitty that the game has no other mode that would make the $40+ investment worth a damn when blizzard decides to ban you for good or bad reasons.

There are plenty of games you can still play offline. This isn’t one of them. The game is specifically designed for online play with other people, that’s its entire reason to be.

While there are some people who are being hostile and condescending to you here, I’m genuinely curious how you can read the more reasonably worded responses you’ve gotten and completely disregard them.

I’m much older than millennial fuckers, so I guess I’ll take a stab at this. They ban you from the online portion only if you cheat. It just so happens that this game only has an online portion. It’s not hidden, it’s not switched out and the ban warnings have been very clear and upfront. This is not a corporation

A casino? when you cheat in a casino, it’s stealing, you’re stealing money from the casino.

That’s why you don’t cheat and go against the TOS of the multi billion dollar corporation. That’s all spelt out for you and you’re required to agree to those terms before playing. If these rules of zero tolerance for cheaters wasn’t spelt out and made a apparent from the get go I’d agree with you, being that they are

You don’t actually own any of your games. You have purchased the right to use the software based on terms set by the people who make that software. If the company determines that you have broken the user license they can revoke your access to the software. You agree to it the minute you fire up a game. It’s the EULA

“if for any reason they can just ban you and keep the money that’s utter B.S. there should be a better way to deal with cheaters without stealing their money.”

Actually, you don’t actually own the game. You are just purchasing a license to play the game and utilize their software. If you are misusing or abusing their software, then they have the legal right to revoke your license.

If there are too many players cheating at Overwatch, then no one will want to buy it and play it because it won’t be fun anymore. Therefore when you cheat at Overwatch, you are stealing future purchases from Blizzard.

You basically just said:

Bet you Blizz can’t detecet my “video game enchancer”. MUHAHAH!

In an online competitive game you’re paying to be a part of the community. If you start fucking that community up, then you get kicked out of the community. Don’t cheat and you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Wait, are you trying to justify the cheating because there’s no offline mode?

I love the idea that these despicable people rushed home after plopping down $50-$60 on a brand new game and were instantly banned again. “I’ve spent $200 on this game, and I can’t play it! I just want to be able to cheat and feel superior to others while simultaneously ruining the game for everyone else. Is that too
