If Pixar released something like this 10 years ago, it would have won awards. I'm amazed at the overall power of the Source Filmmaker and the talent its inspired. In my opinion SFM is one of the best things to ever to video games.

As a huge grump fan I don't think they're selling out at all. I mean the games have to be advertised some how. Instead of super expensive ad campaigns; just go directly to the people they're all listening to anyway, give'um a couple grand. Ask them to hit a few bullet points about the game and...yeah no harm no foul.

There are items, characters, and plot threads that are introduced and dropped almost constantly. Best example of this is Lighting's anti-gravity thingy - she uses it a few times during the opening cinematic and early in the game and then it is gone. The player never gets to interact with it - they just show us how fun…
