Not I, but I might just do it now.

Retailers think if they can get an exclusive, then it gives incentive to preorder instead of waiting (try to get the sale now) and that if they have something nobody else has they have an edge (get it from them, not from somebody else).

Yeah, except more often it is more of a:

Wow that is really cool. Seriously I like it. Not $3500 like it, but I like it.

Ok, so I was reading about Demon's Souls having it's servers shut down so the network features are no longer available. I don't think it really affects DS very much but it got me thinking though, how long is a the right amount of time to have servers live for a game?

No worries. I think we all are a little which is why they exist.

No I am not missing that point. In fact, I made that exact point. Basically I summed up the article you linked to when I said

That's a matter of perspective. Would anybody have taken the time to look closely at it and make charts like these if the ending was good? Not really.

Sadly, this is the process of "creation" for most games (among other things).

I miss the old days of cheat codes, because most cheats these days seem like glitches or exploitation of the game.

Yeah, what's up with that? One of my initial complaints about the game (on console) was that you joined a game type and that is all you ever played, match after match, with no easy way to back out to play another game type. I wanted a server that did mixed game types (even though Rush is my favorite by far).

Oh that's good to know. I don't actually know anything about this game (until now) so I didn't realize there was a purposeful link here. Which I sort of don't get because the whole book was satire, but okay I'm game if he references it.

Oh good, my faith in humanity is a bit restored.

Yeah, I was saddened when the Hitman Professional Edition did NOT come with a gun as pictured. It's just game DLC.

That's funny. I really like that it references Flatland.

Well there are 2 sides to the argument. One is that people like physical media. They are tactile and like to touch things when they spend money. Tangible items will always be around but that doesn't mean retail won't switch over to download cards with redeemable codes on them.

Yeah, the Metal Gear series tends to be confusing (nice pic choice by the way). Granted I haven't played all of them, and the first one wasn't too bad, but they got convoluted along the way and by the time 4 hit I just didn't understand what the heck the whole point was.

Oh sweet. I was downloading that demo yesterday but have yet to play it.

weather dominator...pops popcorn or something.

I have no problem with sequels. But watered down, tired versions are not good use of an IP. It all makes sense though if you think about it. If you want a good "such and such" game, you go to the store and look and see what you recognize. Oh yes, I remember liking that before, so it should probably be just as good if
