Wow, thank you for the post. I haven't heard anybody say anything negative about the game, or even mere "okayness" with it instead of it being praised as the greatest thing since sliced bread. I honestly had this exact fear of the game which is why I haven't paid good money for it yet. I'll wait for a sale or

Yeah, it seems odd to me too. Honestly it doesn't affect me because I always get new games, but it's the principle of the matter. But I have seen it repeatedly from multiple sellers (i.e. it isn't just a GameStop problem) and both brick and mortar and online. I have my friend checking things on the other side of the

The best thing I heard about ACIII? It is using a new engine and has been in development for 3 years. Thank you, it will be more than a flash in the pan.

I primarily game on PS3. It is what I bought first. My Xbox is dead (and was only for exclusives anyway). I play on my PC too. I recently got a laptop that was game worthy. I have a slew of stuff from Steam and I figured I would play a lot more PC games since I got my comp.

Yeah, I saw that and it sucks, but at the same time I can see it making some sense.

I second the comment on Infamous 2 and Castlevania LOS.

What you describe is why I got out of the RPG world. Back in the day (the day being NES realm) RPGs were so much simpler. I get why people want more, and the advancements are good, but it just became too much for me. I like lots of games, and if I am not playing 1 game and devoting myself to that game 100% then my

I am now converted!

Thanks for the reply and tips. I might force my DNS to see if that helps. But yeah, the PS3 does weird stuff like that once in a while. I need to go back on and see if the problem persists. By now all the variables should be gone (patch is now mandatory, modem and router reset) so everything should be good.

I'm sure there are some who are out there doing it right. But for instance, Gamestop (yeah and I know, it's gamestop) usually has things prices as normal as if there was no online pass. Amazon searches will show a used game selling for $10 under the new game, so why not just get the new since you are spending the same

"It would be bad news for consumers, especially if a $10 (I'm pulling that number out of my ass) unlock fee didn't in turn result in cheaper used games prices, "

Oh that is another good example and a variable not considered. I know that Rayman Origins got good reviews and all that bought it love it. But I was not going to spend $60 on it. So while waiting for the price to drop I actually forgot about the game. So you say I can get it at $20-30 which is perfect, but I didn't

It requires honesty on the part of the publisher. The way they look at it is release it for $60 and for every game they sell at that price they rake in mass profit. If people don't buy it, then drop the price and they still make profit, just not as much. It does not behoove them to sell it less.

These are some games that my son likes (hes 9). I'm not sure if they are available for download, since I have the UMDs.

Yeah I don't know. I evidently don't follow enough general stuff I have to follow specific people now. He resigned and people hate him for it. Kotaku comments were less than polite. People seem to hate the guy. Its a quality issue evidently? He did a bad job? He messed up the community (which I find hard to believe

I have this game and liked it. It was underrated by far.

Yeah, check that link from AniTenshi.

hehe you said Metal Gear is a pretty "solid" game. :P

I absolutely agree. I have been spouting this for forever and will take it to the grave.
