I agree with this but don't think it is a video game issue, it's a cultural one. Seriously, look at all of our media. When is the last time a TV show or movie did not address religion in the similar manner? For example, because of the church and the crusades, it is now typical to portray Christianity that way.…
You're fine just jumping into City. Any tidbits from the first game will be explained.
My son plays standard games and jumps all over the place and gets super excited. That is way more movement than he gets from any Wii game we own.
It's yours! I just PMed you.
Sorry, Allen replied first so I'm giving him the Valve coupon.

This is one of the best articles I have read on Kotaku in a long time. I am a bit biased as Castlevania I is one of my favorite games of all time, absolutely perfect (except for the lack of a password/save type function).
Here is Apple's edge; much like the article points out they can be up to speed with the long time runners instantly if they tweak what they already have. Apple TV is a brilliant solution. Ok, so maybe it didn't go over so well in the vast market but it is basically an iOS device that hooks to your TV. Great, add in…

I hear what you are saying on the perception of quality based on price, but isn't that partially true anyway? I mean, publishers do not create their budgets equally. One game might get 40 million and another 20 and another 5 or less. So shouldn't they all be priced accordingly? I mean, price does not equate value on…
I've said it a billion times and I'll say it again. Not all games should retail for $60 at launch. Period. I would argue in this case, ME3 is a AAA title that should, but that is without a day 1 DLC which they obviously held out of the game development to make more money. Some games/publishers do it more obviously…
Well, I see your point on the more universal standard of games on PC these days. However, I would argue that current gaming is still based on higher specs (or at the very least video card). Just look at the forums and count how many people are saying I want to play (insert game name here) are these specs good?
ahh I see. Good old language barriers in written text. I was totally thinking you must be young and living at home and have no idea how the real world works. lol oh there is some good humor in this after all.
Well here are some thoughts (and for the record I game on console mostly, but do some PC gaming too).
I don't think this is only narrowed to Mass Effect or the hard core fan. I think it is universal for every game that releases with DLC immediately. I love DLC but when they are releasing something immediately (whether big or small) it is obvious to me they simply held it back from the normal game.
Not everybody has money for a new TV. If I had $500 to spare I would rather spend it elsewhere. But yes, a new TV would be nice.
So does that mean that if you own the game but not the DLC then you get the DLC free? Sounds like it to me. Not a bad deal.
I really want to love Arma but I can't. Seriously, I put off playing it so long because I knew I wouldn't like the reality of it (it sounds appealing but I don't think I would find it entertaining personally). I recently broke down and downloaded the free version.
I concur. Honestly, I have been fading out of it recently because it seems to always be offset matches. One side will always dominate the other. Rarely do I get into good evenly set matches these days. So winning or losing, it just isn't much fun.
