I adore Cool As Ice for its schlocky horribleness, thx for saving me the effort of writing about it.

I’ll toss in my .02𝇍 re. your Q to Herr Torchinsky: I rented one of these in Madrid a couple decades ago, a 1st gen Ford Ka. I was smitten by its ergonomics, cheeky design language and unapologetic inexpensiveness. In an alternate universe timeline of high oil prices this would’ve been a VW collaboration with Ford, a…
Agree to agree. The Astrovan was de rigeur among Japan’s hoons when I lived there 20 years ago. I saw quite a few with body kits or lifted or pimped out. At first it was jarring, then I came to love them as much as any Estima / Previa.
Agree! I’ve had two cars rear ended & totaled by numb-nuts in crap cans that shouldn’t have been allowed on the road.
I sincerely hope for your sake that your reply was a failed attempt at irony.

I *really* didn’t think I’d need to specifically note that I was referencing HYBRIDS. Not electric cars, but hybrid drivetrains. I’ve seen Stanley Steamer brass era electric cars in museums my whole life and rode around in a friends Citicar back in the late 70's as a tyke. So yeah, hybrid was my point.
And I thought I was an early adopter with my 2000 Insight. I had NO idea this existed or that Audi blazed the trail before Toyota. I wonder if they’ll become sought after or if their 600 lb deficit of lead acid batteries makes them as desirable as scabies?
You scamp, that was metaphorical! My point being: he sounds like a true Mensch and deserves recognition. Carry on ...
Please let your boss know that he’s on my Christmas card list for next year.
I could write a book about mine - it became a hobbyists nightmare with even my BumbleBee Batteries failing on me. The hypermiling was great, I made multiple cross country trips at 70mpg when gas was $5/gal and in 2008 had a panicked Silverado owner offer me $20K for mine, but every good thing I might say about it is…
SRSLY?
Among my fleet of hoopties I rocked a 2000 Insight for 13 years. Sold it at 150k miles and in that short-ish span it went through four (4) IMA batteries and was close to needing #5, so count me out on Honda electric anything. One of the hoopties in my fleet was an Insight with a K20 swap, but that’s a story for…
The robots in Silent Running are a close match too. Joan Baez during recharging would kill the deal for me. http://www.theoldrobots.com/Movie.html

This should help prime your imagination.
Cops should have skin in the game. When a cop does a typically cop cruel and moronic thing like this, the cop should have their pay garnished FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFE and if the crime warrants it, LOSE THEIR HOUSE TOO. Then the taxpayers step in for the balance owed.
Cops don’t learn. And taxpayers assuredly don’t…

How hard would it be to convert this 5-speed manual XJ Cherokee to 4x4? It’s rather fetching, if not sexy ...
Haven’t we already seen this before ... in a TV show somewhere? Or am I imagining this?
