I *really* didn’t think I’d need to specifically note that I was referencing HYBRIDS. Not electric cars, but hybrid drivetrains. Most of your concerns over Torchinsky’s proposal are contradicted by Nissan’s superb reconditioning of four decade old Datsun 240Z’s. I remember seeing one in a dealer showroom and was blown away by it. If any modern manufacturer were to give this a shot - and Mercedes already sort of does - I’d be all for it.
