“They just have the absolute most insane expectations. They could have shipped through to literally half the PS5 global install base and still been disappointed.”

This. Absolutely this. The eternal “arrow must always go higher” mentality that forces astronomical goals is such a damn cancer that even games that are

It also didn’t sell particularly poorly. It certainly didn’t bomb and it’s not quite fair to compare it against FFXV, which launched way later in the consoles lifecycles to much, much larger install bases on multiple platforms.

“Everything can be only one thing forever

This is why Nintendo doesn’t fucking love you.

Not sure why Kotaku thought reporting on the content of leaked game that will be officially released within two weeks was a good idea, but it shouldn’t be too surprising why Nintendo will keep blacklisting you from future events.

I feel like there’s a difference between “this game failed to do what it meant to do” and “this game succeeded at doing something I wasn’t looking for in a game.” Like, I played Blue Estate, and I didn’t like how it tried to be juvenile and offensive to everyone, but it’s not like it tried and failed to be

I’m confused not by the content of the post but by Sisi’s wildly off-base expectations from a Switch remake of an E10 rated Game Boy Advance game for children. To clarify, I think it’s just kind of silly to expect anything more from this colorful cartoony war game than what’s on the tin.

So a cartoon battlefield is too much to handle.

I’m confused. What were you expecting from this game? I really can’t tell if this whole post is tongue-in-cheek or serious.

Are you serious with this? This is the take? Just...wow. There is only one response to a take like this:

It’s not a bland movie. It’s a fun kids film that revels in it’s own lore and knows their target audience does too. Its the reason the audience score is so high while the review score so low. Everyone going to see this knows what a blue shell is. They know who Diddy kong is and know the donkey kong rap. Meanwhile

Really don't understand what monumental story ya'll expected out of this movie. I loved it and it was exactly what I expected, lots of references to the games and a simple story with some good laughs thrown in. Really don't know why anyone expected some award winning story or epic character development out of this.

That’s truly a shame. You know the old saying about not judging a book by it’s cover right?

Pro-Tip 1) Don’t adopt a pet unless you understand what it means to own the pet and are committed to taking care of that pet for its whole life. Yes this means even if they get bigger then you were told they were, or have health issues or if you have to move. If you can not commit to an pet, then don’t get one.

You’re not wrong, it’s always something. Wether it’s moonveil, bleed, bloodhound step; not enough poise, or hyper armor, and now it's poking. This is why I don't play pvp, everyone is looking for a cheap kill.

The good news here being that they finally separated PVP and PVE balancing in the last patch, so they can nerf and buff to their hearts content.

As someone who only does PvE, can I safely assume that the only consistent thing with PvP folk is constant bitching?

It’s funny, but I’m also pretty sure they mean they agree with her stuff about “please buy the game anyway” and “don’t harass people online” in particular

Am I experiencing some schadenfreude, here? Sure. At the same time, a lot of people got suckered into these scams and their lives (and the lives of people who rely on them) are gonna be pretty fucked as a result of them losing all their money buying goddamn NFTs and whatever.
