I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you don’t have kids, right? Dealing with an adult that’s annoyed that a kid is kicking their seat is preferrable to dealing with a kid who’s tired, cranky, and has stubbed toes.

quick addendum here... if you’re unionized then your first step is to your union rep and not your boss. They’re there to protect you and your job. You pay them for that reason. Use them.

“until the shit hits the fan.”

Mackie would be awesome, but I don’t see it happening.

I don’t know that I agree with your first bit there, but I can definitely see the second bit making her akin to Mr. Freeze from the animated series. Her powers froze her heart/emotions/willingness to care about others. like her powers are a recipe for ready made psychopathy.

What’s kind of obnoxious about this though is that they had ALL of mythology to pull from. We could have had Sif, Aphrodite, Hel, Amaterasu, Ixchel, Tiamat, and any number of other amazing female figures from any form of mythology. Except we get the goddess that imbibes patrons through her vajayjay. I loved her piece

nah, that’s not it. The rest of the show differs pretty heavily from the book and I’m ok with it. I love what they’re doing with Mad Sweeney, and I feel like once they get to the section of the story that’s heavy on that little town there will be a lot of other inconsistencies that’ll be just awesome. the bone I have

Once is enough. I mean the book covers the vaginal ingestion and that was a neat little story. The show takes it too far. Beyond that there are so many other more interesting characters that could have been fleshed out instead.

oh seriously. you can get further in the book in one sitting.

We see anubis a lot, and we got a backstory of sorts of his, but not much from Mr. Ibis other than just scribing and narrating.

I don’t begrudge them taking their sweet time or stretching things out across seasons, but I do think time spent with bilquis would be better spent with other gods. Give us some more of Anansi, Mr. Ibis, or Czernobog.
And I have to say that I disagree that their filler episodes are all fantastic. The first Laura

This show puts entirely too much emphasis on Bilquis. She’s a reasonably minor character in the book, and I feel like they could have spent ALL of the extra time she got in various episodes showcasing other more interesting gods.

I was into it when it was all about the faye/martin/dora love triangle, but once that ended so did my interest in the webcomic. The only webcomics I follow religiously anymore are Least I Could Do, PVP, and Awkward Zombie.

Wait, I thought that guy took office back in january? .

yeah you see it going back to the founding of the country. the argument between state’s rights vs government “overreach” started early.

Yeah, he is knocking it out of the park with the leprechaun. Though he was awesome as pornstache is OitNB too so I don’t know why that’s surprising to me.

Book Laura really wasn’t that much of a character. I mean she was there, but the show is devoting a LOT more time to her than she ever got in the book (same deal with bilquis). I get that they have to drag it out so they don’t just blaze through the content of the book , but I dont find that the Laura centric scenes

    wait there are inhumans fans?

My go to meal is chicken cordon bleu. I stole it from a Disney cook book that’s like 30 years old, and I’ve tweaked it here and there.
