Brian George (Mr. Frowney) is a pretty prolific character actor. He does voice acting and live acting. To me he'll always be Richard Bashir from Star Trek: DS9.

Yeah, I think the palanquin belonged to Blue Diamond. But in The Answer we see her retreating, and then Rose and Pearl are forced to retreat later. So I think the palanquin was abandoned at a later date, probably Blue Diamond's last battle before abandoning the Earth and returning to Homeworld.

It really does! I can almost buy the DS9 one making sense, given that Sisko's love of baseball is established right from the beginning of the series. But it doesn't need justification, it's just way too much fun.
