I did 115 in my first car, a ‘74 Pinto with a 2.3 and a 4 spd, and the SVT Focus I had would do 105 without breaking a sweat. I have no doubts that a current model Focus would do 125.
There are multiple scenes with him trying to get into the bridge, engine room, crews quarters, etc, but because he didn’t have the right permissions he could not get in. Larry Fishburne is able to get into those areas because he’s one of the crew members.

Different cars tested on different days, different temp and humidity, different fuel, different drivers, there are just too many variables. The manual cars had almost identical 1/4 mi times but different 60' times, that leads me to believe that traction or launch issues caused that. This seems like a non-story to me.
