The lube guys at pretty much any automotive establishment are the bottom of the barrel. High school drop-outs, drug addicts, morons. It's few and far between that you get a lube guy that's not a complete fuck up. It's changing oil or flipping burgers for most of them. Esp at jiffy quick state lube.

I use this method and would put my steaks up against any ones. I’ve never made a bad steak doing it this way. depending on the thickness of the steak I may go a minute or two longer to get to the desired doneness.
