You're not alone! The songs were alright the first time I watched it. Catchy and jingle-like, I guess. Second time around? Downright annoying.

For some people, Green Lawn > others dying of thirst

I want to kiss my cat's tummy every time I see him. He used to be weirded out by it (shelter cat had some issues) but now he just gives me this unimpressed look while I make a fool of myself. The tummy's so soft and the fur....gah.

There were maps I saw a while ago that showed there was a marked correlation between anti-contraceptive sex-ed, teenage pregnancy rates, and abortion rates across America. The regions with great contraceptive sex-ed has the lowest statistics in the other two areas as well. I still wish I'd saved the maps or at least

I think (and I may be totally wrong), that EbenHJ meant that 'primitive' might be the new transparent euphemism being used to refer to non-whites.

We do, as much as we deserve ice-cream/cupcakes/weekly SPN forever. It's creepy that I actually have more pictures of him than I do of everyone else I know put together. He hasn't smiled much this season, has he? I miss the cheesy grin, but he looks pretty damn good when he's suffering, and dangerous Dean is just

I could watch his face beautifully emoting feelings for the rest of my life.

Stories like that make me think people should take basic humanity tests before they are allowed to have power over children.

My first language had gender-neutral terms where I didn't have to think about gender, but I also learned English at a young age. I was taught the words 'Man' and 'Woman' with all the basics. When I came upon the word 'Mankind,' I just went along with the internal definition of "all kinds of men" so it's never been a

The City of Bones Goodreads page shows either 1 stars or 5 stars for top reader reviews, so at least the well-read people are aware of it and care, though I know that at least one reviewer is fully aware of the plagiarism and gave her full marks anyways. I actually learned about the plagiarism from those 1 star

No, no. I wish he'd thrown himself into the lioness' den as a martyr for the Men's Rights cause, but Frank replied in the comments section of the original article. It was as weird as his email.

If I remember correctly, she plagiarised other peoples' fanfiction as well as published work. No shame, also, when she claims the characters in the MI books are her personal creations — even people who like the books recognise ripoffs of HP characters.

Frank isn't actually a journalist, if I'm reading the original article correctly. He seems to have bought the paper so he can deliver his hateful message to a broader audience. I'm skimming the comments for laughs, and came upon Frank's reply. The guy has no idea how emails work.

I meant that he shared the same lack of awareness of consequences as people on Twitter. It's mind-boggling that he would explain in such detail his misogyny over an email, but some people really do think there are no repercussions from their actions online. Facebook might be a better example — I've ditched my account

but to put it in writing just shows an incredible lack of awareness

I'm kind of in awe of your tenacity in reading their filth for a year and a half. The one and only time I took a peek at one of their sites, I spent all of five minutes coming to the conclusion that I'd have a heart attack if I met one of them in real life.

Most of the internet handwaves away the plagiarism whenever it's brought up, repeating lies about how she really didn't steal entire pages of someone else's published work, then topping it up with the whole "Well maybe she plagiarised but I really like this story" excuse after being shown the evidence. I sometimes

He's not counting on people to think that far. The strategy works better than I'd wish.

There's also a lot less interest in politicians' private lives.

His trip to Europe was cringe-inducing.
