i have a broken laptop kicking around, this might be a good time to experiment with it. "reformat old laptop & sell/donate" has been on my to-do list for 2 years now... just haven't found the time or desire to do it... maybe this will be a fun experiment.

i have a gmail account and use apple mail. i like many things about it. i used to use thunderbird on windows and i liked that app a lot. though spotlight on the mac is (usually) fabulous, apple mail's search functions are very lacking! if i can't find something i usually have to login to the gmail web interface.

Ever since moving to Mac I miss certain Windows programs like DVDShrink. Handbrake works decent enough it seems, but DVDShrink, from what I can remember, doesn't need to be prepped before ripping to remove protection.

too bad this update also brought along an advertisement block in the bottom left corner, causing me to scroll for my tags... i don't think growl support or safari clipper really warrant the exchange of advertising.. it makes a difference if you don't have a big screen.

anyone know how to get glimmerblocker to block facebook text ads? i can't for the life of me figure it out. adblock plus on firefox does the trick, but adblock on safari does not. please help?
