An electric GTI? They could call it, oh, I don’t know, the... GTE?

Uh, no. Anyone with money will get this crap from “friends” and “family members.” But there are plenty of people (of average intelligence) who manage to keep their money, despite having “family and friends constantly asking for shit.”

Faking it even once you’ve made it. It’s one of the reasons why so many pro athletes are bankrupt only a few years after retiring.

You’re looking for Reddit.

I... I would drive this. I’d pretend I was a retired lifeguard cruising my beach town for cougars.

I actually like the NSX ‘vert’, though I wouldn’t have made-in-China looking wheels on it.

I talked to the guy who processed my early lease termination. He works for a third party company (not VW and not the dealer). His company gets hired by all kinds of companies to process all kinds of things. Lately, before this VW buyback kicked off, he was working on notifying owners effected by the Takata airbag

I agree- The Fit isn’t a direct competitor to the Bolt, even if they share similar dimensions and daily uses.

I’m not sure what all those reservoirs are for- I assume two are for coolant and windshield washer fluid- but the consensus is that EVs have way fewer moving parts and are much easier/cheaper to maintain than a ICE-powered car.

Best and worst. Jalops would be up in arms when they realized all their ideas were thrown down the drain.

I haven’t driven a new M3, but my experience in the E9x M3 and 335i taught me the V8 was a big let-down for street driving. I like BMW a lot more than MB, but I would take a C63 over an M3 every time, because low end torque is what people use/appreciate.

In my experience, it’s because nine times out of ten, they didn’t actually buy anything. And the one time they did, they bought something completely outside the parameters they said they HAD to have when seeking your advice.

Ah, yes. The Smart ForPope, in optional Holy Grail Gold finish and spec’ed with the opulent JP2 trim.

Given the death of the V8 M3, I’d say yes, you’re one of few people who would want to see that.

Better than having a 1990s throwback with 1960s performance.

There are too many factors to consider here. But suffice to say a new Z will not be high on Nissan’s list of priorities until the money they throw at incentives to move the current model outweighs the cost of designing a new model. With cross-overs on fire, manufacturers aren’t pressed to keep coupes fresh.

I’ve read that the Mustang 5.0 outsells the Ecoboost and V6 by a margin of 2:1. There are a ton of people who were excited for the BRZ and inevitably let down by it’s poor acceleration. The aged 370Z has opened a corner of the market to a BRZ STI, not to mention those who bought the larger Mustang when they would have

I still don’t get the disdain for hybrids.

I agree with this sentiment more than your last one.

I get what you’re saying about Detroit not being the same market as LA, but I wonder how much of this is self-fulfilling prophesy. Japanese auto makers don’t bring halo cars to the mid west, because they don’t sell well in that market, because they don’t bring halo cars to the mid west....
