Taste vary but, even without interruptions, I don’t care for the Sky coverage. I’ve watched Sky as a supplementary source for years, and it has always lacked the depth and the homey appeal that the Matchett/Hobbs/Diffey/Posey/Varsha/Windor/Daly/Buxton team did. I don’t think that this approach is going to drive

I was yelling at my TV the coverage was so bad and it was all on ESPN. While I miss the fun and camaraderie of the NBC/Speed guys, the Sky announcers are way more into the race. They relay the strategies currently playing out by the teams which were often missed by the US crew.

This is a car enthusiast website. Almost every issue covered here is a first world problem. Doesn’t mean it’s not a problem.

The reality is that the coverage on ESPN was never going to be good. Technical issues during pre-race aside, trying to broadcast F1 on ESPN by simulcasting from SkySports, who themselves do not broadcast commercials, is going to lead to misses in action due to commercials.
