1) Slant rhyme

Someone else made a comment, on the first article about this interview, that people are “disappointed” in Dwight not hitting his potential, and that is what leads to harsher criticism of his personality, which I think is bullshit. Judge an athlete on their performance, by all means, but I really don’t like playing

As confused as I am about the overall ethos of this “Adequate Man” property, this is about as good as it gets. Reasonable advice, that isn’t too clickbaity or condescendingly authoritative, about a situation most people (whether focused on men or not) will have to face in life.

Giri is a guy

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it isn’t right. But you can either fuck off or spend the rest of your time being an Internet pedant. Either way, don’t give a shit about your opinion.

I’ve definitely stepped on your trademark rights a few times in the training process.

I work in higher ed and I only smile and nod at people, lest I lose my job.

I think there were some genuine concerns among the several people who mentioned ableism, so I couldn’t discern.

Ha, thanks. My creative writing degree has to win me something in life; I’ll take a technicality.

I totally read it wrong at first, but I still like MLS and I don’t mind the criticism anymore. I’ve heard much the same being said throughout NBA coverage for the past couple of years as people made similar caveats for “They had a great game, but it was against the 76ers.” On one hand you want to defend the thing you
