Getting users to quit the game has greatly reduced server traffic. Apparently they want the remaining users to buy a bunch of pokeballs to make up for the lost sales.

People who don’t have access to nearby pokestops buy pokeballs. These are also more likely to be people in places with terrible spawn rates who need trackers like Pokevision to catch anything worthwhile.

Is your family able to find much near home? That’s our problem here... With no Pokevision, we can walk for an hour and find nothing better than a weedle. Cities seem to be far better for random catches.
