Another (among many) absurdity of this movie is the idea that anyone from our coddled, self-absorbed, necissistic society would lift a finger to fight a war thirty years in the future. Hell, half the population won’t take basic steps to protect themselves against a pandemic that’s here right now.

Sweet that you think Margie’s victim complex only takes one corner of her brain. I’m pretty sure it comprises her entire frontal lobe. The corners are divided among individual acts of imagined victimization, like the War on Christmas and restriction of prayer in school.

General rule of thumb: Don’t stan for powerful people, especially not politicians (or their powerful family members).  Powerful people need to be held to account, not fawned over.

I’m still mad about that. A man with more integrity than any person in the Republican party I can currently name. He resigned specifically to point out the hypocrisy of the Republican party members in similar situations. I applaud him, and wish he was still in politics.

The only one who did resign was Al Franken.
