I may be slightly ignorant here, but is it Transmisogyny or just straight up Domestic Violence. Obviously the victim here was Trans, but it doesn’t sound like that was the reason they were killed. Again, I’m not fully versed in this subject, so feel free to correct. Mercedes Williamson was absolutely a transphobic

From the USA Today article (conveniently left out of this one):

Exactly, if one of these men used the podium to speechify, the article would be: “Note to Hollywood Men, for just 3 hours on one night, it was your time to shut up and listen, but you couldn’t do it”.

You mean British actors to play germans and French people

Bronte fight! Bronte fight!

I think the guys were smart enough to more or less to keep their mouths shut. It wasn’t their time or place. But...

Jane Eyre would be vastly improved if she took that advice.

So as a country we’ve decided banning/restricting guns in any way is out of the question, but now we’re just going to accept daily room searches like we’re all children at a particularly punitive boarding school? Guests are paying out the nose to stay at Disney resorts, and they’re still going to have to submit to

Is this is a serious question? Angelina is the archetypal, ass kicking femme fatale. Her entire career is built on playing that type of character. She’s the sexy, smouldering temptress. J-Law is way more girl next door, “I’m just like you” type.

Yeah, the accent is really distracting. I enjoyed Salt, but Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t seem plausible as either a ballerina or a Russian. But yeah Joel Edgerton is awesome so it might be worth a look.

I’ve never found Jennifer Lawrence compelling, but this is definitely the sort of movie I’ll watch repeatedly on FX when it’s on there in 18 months.

turned the ~SEXY~ knob up to 11 and then broke it off

Because they couldn’t make Black Widow movie.

I saw this preview before Murder on the Orient Express, and thought it looked interesting. I like Jennifer Lawrence so maybe I will see it.

Those posters made me seethe. She might have known. I personally think it’s feasible she didn’t (too high up the food chain) but she wasn’t the abuser and it makes my blood boil when people will find a reason, any reason, to somehow blame women for men’s crimes.

He may very well be a dick. I don’t know. But not wanting to upend his whole life and maybe their kid’s life and relationships /friendships because the woman who cheated on you wants to be on the batman show isn’t dickish.

Ugggggggh. Am I the only one who can’t stand Helena Bonham Carter? Her earlier movies are good, but the latest ones are nothing but her eating scenery as wild-eyed as possible. In a series that takes itself at least a little bit seriously, this seems an incredibly odd fit. Am I alone here?

I’m sort of at a loss as to how many commenters are more focused on the fresh grad living at home and looking for work being as bad as the shitty sister who got knocked up, probably leans on the grandparent to kick in, and is a toxic influence while Letter Writer is just...existing?

Regardless of what they say on the website about their online ticket policies, a pay-what-you-wish policy for in-person ticket prices means anyone can pay the student price whether they’re a student or not... because they can also pay $1 without having to justify it. Am I missing something here, or are you just
