I don’t think you do have to choose sides. Even if there were a feud, I wouldn’t think anyone had to choose sides, but what I mean is, I don’t think there is any feud. There are no signs of it other than pop-culture writers reading an awful lot into what appears to me to be, in reality, nothing at all.

I’d starting paying attention if/when The Thin White Duke weighed in and had a little word with Princess Bubblegum about songs titled “1984”. I’m sure he’s above this brand of pettiness/silliness/PR shenanigans but a David Bowie-versus-Katy Perry feud? Now that would be something to behold.

Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, and Glendale all have really nice areas, are close to the city, and are by the lake. Pretty good school districts too (not sure if that’s something you have to consider or not). I grew up in Milwaukee and my parents still live in a suburb, so I’m biased, but it’s really an up-and-coming cool city to be IMO. SO many good restaurants, and lots of stuff to do in the summer. Like someone else said, the winter can really suck, but you live in MA so I think you know how to deal with that.

I did my undergrad in Milwaukee! It’s actually a pretty cool city, with nice museums, parks, bars and restaurants. It’s always hard to relocate, and you’re going to HATE the winter, but people are extremely friendly and the summers are awesome.
