I loathe the Duggars. Why isn’t he in jail? Shouldn’t he have to register as a sex offender like other guys who fondle children? Yeah, being famous has (some really awful) “perks”.

It is isn’t it? But my pal’s chickens are spoiled. She's an amazing lady. Truly one of a kind. She also has a dozen rescue cats. She's a Vet Tech and lives on a farm, so she has the resources to pull this off. And she just has a big heart. I love her.
Not that airports are much cheaper, but before I head to my hotel I stop at one of the airport shops and grab some cold whatever I’m in the mood for and snacks. Ice in a sink or wastebasket (provided a fresh liner is available) keeps drinks cold.
No, not at all surprising. And that's part of the problem. We've become ok with this. It is what it is and not likely to change. It's just kind of depressing.
A dear friend if mine rescues chickens. She will tell you that everyday is not like Easter. However, her scrambled eggs are insanely good.
You know it’s a rough world when you hear or see the that somebody just “snapped” and you're relieved it wasn't a mass shooting. Dude, way to snap!
I’ve seen people: Hope for somebody’s imminent death, threaten to chop off body parts, or say somebody should be killed for a lot less than this. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this guy didn’t get like two.
It’s not for me to judge how others choose to live their lives. Their choices aren't hurting me or anybody else, so meh. The only marriage I’m concerned with is my own. Life is so much easier when you don’t spend it feeling morally superior to others.
I’m absolutely not defending thus guy’s freaky mirror or odd sense of what a gag is, but death threats? When did we become so uncivilized about simple conflict resolution? Oh yeah, the Internet.
Getting a degree in something that interests me rather than one that pays bills.
There is a big difference in being proud of the little things that make it great to be Southern/make the South great and being proud of it’s darker, hateful history. The latter is not “Southern pride”. Not all Southerners, as you know, are confederate flag waving racist morons.
So true. As a Southerner in the Northeast it’s similar. My BIL works with at risk teens and one of his colleagues summed the situation up nicely. He said he was much more comfortable in the South where you knew where you stood with certain people. He said the closeted nature here is a nasty combination of denial and…
Check out California, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. I’m not denying that the South has it’s share of problems (especially racism), but nobody would think to do this with any other geographic location in the U.S. People just love to hate the South.
Thank you.
Some of the highest numbers of active hate groups are states like New York and Pennsylvania. Being from the South and now living in the Northeast, I can attest to your statement. I’ve never met more “I’m not a racist” racists in my life.
Well, I was trying to be nice. Lumberjack! Seriously? Gah!
After seeing what a shitshow AHS became, I’ll pass. Bitchy girls scream. Bitchy girls all die in some gruesome way. Survivor girl wins. I'm betting this ends up being pretty formula in some ironic hipstery way. Blegh.
Nothing. NOTHING. Could possibly be as bad as the last season of Dexter....oh wait...
Great! See you there.
I was talking about present-day attitudes. I've explained this in, at least, 10 other comments, but thank you for being condescending.
