I am so happy Teti reviewed this episode. Right after watching it, I was thinking this would be a great one for him to review. I actually laughed out loud at the owl joke.

I didn't disagree with the judges eliminating him based solely on this challenge, but he has been one of my favorite designers so far. There were a few episodes I thought he should have won or at least been in the top three, but he was just safe.

I don't think they actually watch the show, or they wouldn't have nominated last season for anything. "Lots of famous actors? Lets just throw some awards at them."

Yeah, I pretty much just hate-watch it too, but it's not even fun for that anymore. After killing off some of the dumbest characters, the quality improved slightly, but not enough, so now it's just boring instead of laughably awful. Don't waste your time.

"It's time to scribble 'Mrs. Nick Carter' in your notebooks again"

I do wonder if Dan has ever decided to check in on the comments here. I could just see him getting through the first couple of threads, then closing the page and backing away slowly from his computer.

It's no Dan in Real Life 2: Back 2 the Life.

What they should do is show how many upvotes you have for each comment when you click on your profile where you can scroll through all your comments.

That's called "every other sex advice column out there".

Put! Ze Candle! Back!

If it was Chad Coleman, I would hope an AV Club article would still refer to him as Cutty from The Wire and not his role on The Walking Dead. Especially in an article about casting on a David Simon series.

You two should just fuck already.

While I think Dan's advice was pretty harsh, I think it can be a little hard for someone with a good relationship with their parents (like Dan) to imagine what it's really like to have horrible parents. I have a great relationship with my mom, and she absolutely does not try to control my life, so I'm very lucky. But

As I understand it, Dan's column has been published with the AV Club ever since the AV Club was only in print form along with the Onion paper, so it goes way back. Savage Love isn't an AV Club exclusive or anything, it's also run in several other places. Comments have only been enabled here for a couple of years or so.

We all lost on Jeopardy today.

Slow pop culture news day.

No, I definitely remember there was bacon in there too.

All these "Great Job, Internet" articles are really lowering the bar on the definition of "great."

I really didn't like the winning look. I really thought it was going to be on the bottom. Those things on the shoulders? I just don't get it.
