I live in DuPage County and I agree with this 100% (although my town is one of the least wealthy towns in the county, it's still really white). One time in conversation with my boss I mentioned my student loans, and he said, "Isn't that your parents' responsibility?" Or my other co-worker who is always complaining she

Like Millennial Historian said, some Chicago suburbs seem to exist in their own little bubble. I live in the suburbs, and I know plenty of people like that. Plus, she said it was exotic when she was growing up. It would have been even worse just a couple of decades ago.

When I was a kid my family had only one cat for several years, then we got a new kitten. The old cat did not approve, and hissed constantly. But after a while, he adjusted and they became good pals. It'll just take time.

They're spending a week on the Grammy nominees for song of the year. I think people are overreacting.

I found the second episode very hard to watch. I almost gave up after that, but I'm glad I didn't because I loved everything from the third episode on.

I was semi-spoiled on BSG's ending. I didn't quite know exactly what happened, but I knew that almost everyone hated it. It definitely helped lower my expectations, so I wasn't nearly as disappointed as I would have been without knowing anything. It still sucked, but at least I expected it to suck.

I got one that included a French Frenchman.
