BGR has posted a ton of pictures showing email header info and stuff. I know it all can be faked, but they are really pushing back on this one. Sez the editor of Apple's PR:
@JEmlayUSA: I'm saying the lawsuit is premature. How can they claim Apple is refusing warranty service when Apple hasn't been given a real chance to study and address the problem.
I'm actually really interested in how they did this. Too bad the release doesn't give too many details on the technology. Anybody got a link?
@twilight-arc: No what I'm saying is, the quote claims the 3Gs was the previous record holder. That means that every phone that came out after the 3Gs but before the 4 was less bright. I'm just wondering if that's really true.
@ryusen: I agree that is super shady. I'll chalk it up to a "rush decision" by some customer support director....hopefully
@ryusen: Read the update snookums. Now I feel REALLY good about my original post. Take out the fact that he didn't say that last line and now only the emailer looks like the idiot.
@JEmlayUSA: I already responed to this exact point so you are welcome to read the thread instead of skipping to the bottom next time.
@strob: Whos blaming anyone for anything?
"The iPhone 4 is 25 percent brighter than the iPhone 3GS, which was the previous record holder"
@kernelRiot: Yeah but we aren't giving them a CHANCE to act on that warranty.
@J. Bryan Brasher: Software patches go out to millions of computers running the software.
@gochurush: Yeah, brakes not working kills people. Nice analogy. But while you're at it, see my above reply. Toyota issued recalls, the hardware analog to a software patch.
@vel0city: This phone has been out for fewer than 2 weeks.
@FP_slomo788: I never said nobody should buy a product at first launch. I stated that it comes with the caveat that you are on the testing edge as the first group of mass field testers.
Or get a phone that doesn't shatter.
The problem is, even 50 hands touching something can't compare to 1.3 million hands touching something.
Wow talk about sour grapes!
Hey everybody, calm down. LucasFilm is doing this for the benefit of their starving, hard working employees who are TIRED of being ripped off from piracy.
Stop railing Jobs for his replies. I think he's a jerk too, and I hate how he suckers people into buying products that are intentionally missing functionality so he can sell you the 's' version a year later.
