The strongest climbers are pushing the limits of difficulty on very short and very dynamic routes that take 30 seconds to 15 minutes to ascend. These difficulty records, like speed records, are incremental and ephemeral.

I may be what you would call a “legit climber.” Nobody who knows what they’re talking about would call this guy a glory boy clown. They may shake their heads in some combination of exasperation and awe. But he is as legit as they get.
