Dvora, I just wanted to comment to say thanks for all the great reporting and writing you’ve done on this subject over the last dozen or so months. I’m sure it could’ve been easy work, but it’s really important work. Thank you for doing it.

Also, not that this is the most important thing, but he really wasn’t a “potential Olympian.” He swam at a great swimming school and was a great swimmer, but not of that quality, especially if you want to represent the US. That’s not entirely accurate. Kap actually won the job back from Blaine Gabbert, and played pretty well over the last 12 games of the season - even better if you take his first two games back (which were his worst full games). In fact, his 2016 game-by-game stats look better than Bortles’s 2016 game-by-game stats.
